Job Description: Software Engineer Early Career This role involves supporting the Enterprise by delivering best-in-class technology solutions. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including: Gathering and analyzing requirements: Understanding business needs and translating them into technical specifications. Designing: Creating the architecture and blueprint for the software solution. Testing: Ensuring the software meets standards and performs as intended. Documenting: Creating and maintaining technical documentation. Implementing: Deploying and configuring the software. Responding to outages: Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production. Training: USAA provides a technical training curriculum to establish foundational knowledge in software development standards and practices. After training, you will be assigned to an application development team. Work Location & Schedule: This role requires being in the office 4 days a week. The position is based in San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX . Relocation assistance is not available. Responsibilities: Design, develop, code, and test technical solutions under supervision. Regularly deliver features and improvements through coding. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and production issues. Enhance application stability and scalability. Create and maintain technical documentation. Develop and improve automated tests and code quality. Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with policies and procedures. Qualifications: What Sets You Apart: US military experience through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner. Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $61,110 $116,800 (varies by location). Pay incentives based on performance and discretion of USAA Board.
